modern middle east city project finished
« on: August 04, 2013, 07:01:45 PM »
as promised, after showing the basic road system in the WIP section i have now finished the buildings and placed them on the table:-

the trees are all removable and the buildings are made from mdf, foamcard, expanded polystyrene packing and plywood.
i also used some of those square end plastic bits from easy model ready made tanks as well as lots of odds and ends from the spares box as well as some kids toy bits like the girders on the half made building and  the roadways on the multi story car park.
many more pics and some of the buildings before finishing here:-

we are having an escape committee club game on it soon so more pics will follow with all of the cars, vans trucks and combatants all over it.
thanks for looking

:o I am at a loss for words. Very impressive.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Absolutely beautiful. Now with some vehicles and/or miniatures in the mix ;)

Very nice Shaun. Still, I have this nagging feeling that some poor child has had bits of his Hotwheels track set purloined.

The reason I asked is that I have tons of 1920-1930's terrain, with which to play Strange Aeons, Pulp Alley, and .45 Adventure, and I have Middle Eastern terrain to play the same games, but the Middle Eastern would be good for military games as well and I'm simply not familiar with any modern military games. Someone who makes a table as superb as yours HAS to have some recommendations. ;)

well as far as rules go we use a set devised by me and playtested by the rest of the club.
they are quick, simple and give a good game.
they are best suited to irregulars v regular troops with lots of cover and small light vehicles with guns on.
of course i supply most of the vehicles and figs from the S&S models postwar ranges.
if you would like a list just email me

thanks
