my zombie project
« on: August 06, 2013, 10:38:00 AM »
Like all gamers I have a few projects on the go! (bit of an understatement!  lol) The current 'top of the pile' projects are all based around a modern city board and games that can be set in it.  One of these is a zombie based game - probably 'all things zombies' as I have the rules and they are good for solo games.  Like all solo projects though, it needs a bit of a push and so I am going to try and keep focussed by posting updates on a thread here.  To start it off are some pictures of some foundry street violence figures that I intend to use as survivors or gangers.

they were really nice to paint. Just enough detail to make them interesting but not enough to make them a chore!

thank you but these figures seem to be sculpted with ordinary painters in mind.  They are not difficult to make look passable.  Some figures are so detailed and fiddly that they scare me off ever attempting them! well....that's my excuse for having so many metal figures lying around unpainted anyway  :D.

Hi FFF,
I am going to use stoetzels buildings as they are cheap and relatively easy to build and the foam core makes them quite durable. I have some pictured on my blog and am I the process of building more.  The baseboards I am using the same as he does terrain tiles that I have just printed out and stuck to 15" square 3mm mdf boards. They are quick and quite effective.

Look for a superheroes battle report for pics of terrain

Cool choice of minis and of course the Foundry and Hasselfree ranges offer some excellent choices. Keep it up  8)

The street violence figures are really nice to paint.  Not overly burdened with detail that I will struggle to paint! Hopefully I will get around to using them in a game soon!  :)

Very nice brush work. Love that chubby cop with a slice of pizza and the one with coffee.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Nothing stops a zombie like a slice of pepperoni with anchovies.
