Well, I am sorry for you lot. I am still in awe in which speed you crank out your lovely things. I've been working on my CRotA project for over two yeas now.

Interior detailing looks great, just like the robot guards  :-*

Any thoughts on using real lights as in LEDs or light cables etc?

100% in agreement.

Gutted, as I was really looking forward to seeing this in 'the flesh'.
 :'(

Great progress, though.
That interior is really taking off.

Wow.
This is fantastic work. Way beyond my capabilities.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

The interior on this is fantastic, even breath-taking. The giant robot pit is brilliant.

On the other hand, the exterior makes my want to cry. That moon surface is so amazing I now want to chuck the moonscape I made and start all over again. I'll never be able to look at my Space:1999 project again without knowing it can look so much better.

I've fancied using lights like this on dioramas for a while now but have no idea how to do it. Anyone know of an idiot's guide to using lighting / where to source it etc.?

Thanks guys for all the nice comments. Hopefully we will get this finished for next year.

My brother is the electrician. Maybe try to persuade him that lights are a good idea.

Lights!?! Did we not learn our lesson the last time! ;) If you particularly wanted, we could run fibre optics all over the shot, then you really only need one light source, but I think we'd have had to really plan that before hand! The other problem is actually seeing it. In the bright daylight of a certain Woking classroom, you won't really notice them!

I thought it might be worth showing one of our MkI Argonauts. I tried doing some sort of electrical crap on the gun...

Great boards, love the rocket, love the robots and most of all I love the the term "electrical crap". :D

Your electrical crap is painted beautifully btw.

Love the electrical effect Andy. Your model making and painting is exceptional. It's sickening really!  lol If I was rich I'd pay you to make stuff all the time!
