I might be mistaken, but I'm sure I heard the Romans were going to Orcs or something similar.

No mention of orcs in the newsletters, but it would be absolutely great if he did some Saxon style orcs like the half orcs he did for Grenadier.

I hope not. I'd rather some 'Arthurian' inspired human remnants of the old empire.

Whatever he decides to create for the range is fine by me. Just about everything that he does is amazing. I just ordered the new figs ( and a couple of other packs that I was missing ) two days ago. Can't wait for them to arrive.

What? As in scrub the Romans and do Orcs instead? Say it isn't so!  >:(

Where'd you hear this?

I imagine the suggestion is that they will be orcish Romans. I doubt i would be a fan, but the Copplestone range is so good I wouldnt rule it out. I would much prefer something not quite Roman although what that would be i couldnt say. I dont really need straight Romans.

I could live with Orcich Romans. I just don't want plain fantasy style orcs or this range won't really be much different than any other fantasy range aside from the fantastic sculpting.

I was hoping the range would stay human-centric (definitely made that up..), Northlanders, barbarians, Romans and sub-human Picts with a smattering of fantastical creatures. The dwarves threw me a bit, but they are nice figures although I've no need for them and they probably won't feature in my games. Orcs don't fit in at all for me really, as much as a band of elves would...

I would prefer "Not-Aquilonians" inspired by Roman/Greek style armour like in the above art than just straight up Romans, which are more than catered for in every scale. (Then, so are orcs!)

Nowhere in any of the newsletters were Orcs mentioned. Just wishful thinking on some folks' parts, or rumours from other sources. I'd be happy w/ some not-necessarily-accurate armour, some standard troop types. and some action-pose heroes.

Well...

I love the barbarians but won't buy any until I see the other faction.

One thing is for sure, though, if they are orcs... my money will go else wheres. That also applies to elves, goblins, etc., etc.

Have to agree dwarves I can just about live with, will not be buying any though, some folk appear to rave over the little folk, but have never seen the attraction myself.
