There's also been discussion of the deal between GW and Amazon, which actually happened, and discussion of the Secret Level short, which also actually happened, and discussion of changes in fluff most of which have actually happened.

Sorry, Pixelgeek, I'm not understanding your point.

Here you go, Zac.

They even included the chain on his right arm. Nice.

Do you know if the mini come with a helmeted head option? Asking for a friend...
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

To clarify once more, as long as everybody stays clear of politics and ill-advised speculative shit-stirring over unhatched eggs, this "media complex" is quite right as a subject to be discussed in this thread in my book.

If it's about actual miniatures, painting and modelling  :o (ShockTM! GaspTM!) , those subjects can go in separate threads on Future Wars and Fantasy, respectively.

GW decided to have some custodes be female and despite being an entirely in house decision it is apparently capitulation because...women bad?

oh that... like the gender of a genetically modified giant makes any difference

I'd better not let my son see that mini. He is a big fan of the Space Marine games. Well they are quite fun I do have to say. He was quite chuffed with himself when in the multiplayer he was accused of hacking, which I'm pretty sure he wasn't. Always a nice compliment, lol.

For those that don't follow GW as closely as they did before, just because of, ehm, GW  ;), with the release of Warhammer the Old World they rerelease some classic miniatures in metal(!)  and sometimes at very affordable prices. I call the 6th(?) edition Chaos Ogres by Trish Morisson at a very affordable 35 euro for 3 a steal and also the command group costs the same. Next on my list are the 3 Chaos Trolls, also at 35 for 3 and they are quite big...
So they are still interesting to follow, sometimes, even if you don't invest in their new release and updatetsunami's any more ( which I don't ).

Yeah, It's just a pity they didn't leave the stone troll and river trolls open but had them only for a limited time.

That was a really weird decision, not only because they're some of the best figures they've ever done, but also they are in the Old World Orcs & Goblin army list. I suppose a lot of people will use the Age of Sigmar equivalents (despite their obvious inferiority). I'm glad to have got hold of the classics!

The made-to-order FOMO really irks me. So much so, I sold all my GW Old World stuff after a half-hearted attempt to be nostalgic about Fantasy. In fact the only GW I have left now is Legions Imperialis and some Kill Team.

GW do have past history of bringing back minis that were supposedly only available for a limited period. Keep half an eye out and, if enough people want them, the trolls could well come back.

Genuine question: those of us annoyed by the limited availability, why does this bother you? I've seen a number of people complain that GW's FOMO tactics put them right off ordering.
As someone who has never been bothered by this - it just makes me think harder about whether I actually want the mini, most of the time I decide "No" - I am genuinely curious why this bothers some people so much.

For me, it’s the randomness of it. Maybe I miss the window because I have real world expenses, or I don’t feel like waiting the 6 months. Just sell the mini or don’t. That’s what is annoying to me.

For me, its that they are usually sprung on you and if you don't have the cash at that point in time due to kids, bills and trying to eat (usually in that order, lol) it just isn't practical to purchase something in that small timeframe. If it were a longer timeframe I could set aside a little bit of money for this in mind.

I still want to be able to buy the box 1 day after it has been released. There's your answer  :).
