So, anyone modelling out there that thinks these should be made in 28mm? I'd buy a ton for my collection, thats for sure.

Looking forward to the film as I'm a huge fan of District 9 and the craft unsurprisingly are similar to the shuttle in D9, although TBH I could do without Matt Damon in it.  :D

They look like a very good option to me.

Found the movie unsatisfying, but that only meant focusing on the eye-candy.  ;)

Agreed that seems a good starting point; might get by with the right lower leg and head swaps. Suggestions?

I tended to focus on the shuttles, especially the Raven. Anyone else figure a perfect conversion project for a CH53/HH53 Sikorsky model?

Loved the torus, of course, but are open tops actually the rage in design?

What about the good old copplestone robots. Don't EM4 do some variants as well?

Have to say 'too right' on the Copplestone, but the EM4 are mostly Battletech/Mechwarrior types, though there might be some adaptable for these.

Old Rifts had some robots as well that might fit.

I think the em4minis were these:

Which are the original versions Copplestone sculpted, if I'm correct.

Would the Em-4 droids mix with some Pig Iron heads or heads from other miniature companies?

I am all over this personally.  :D

Ive got the art of elysium book, bloody superb.  The mechs in elysium are very cool in that they are functional and practical. Mass produced and modular. Legs tracks what have you.

The military mechs can be like the homeland security red ones and very endo looking, or even more humanoid,  but the rear clincher is they don't have human heads, they aren't trying to be human so there's no pretence just function.

Suffice to say, I've a few things in the pipe, tying this into district 9, deuxs ex and a few other sci-fi projects I've had knocking around. ;)
