They did black coat the bayonets to stop glare or glinting, still do it today. Mind you I woul ahve painted them shiny too ;D so cant be smug

Edit. Oops, on checking the informal rules I saw 'equipment' was to come last. So the HMGs and Field Artillery have been bumped back down the list in favour of more grenadiers  :o

Comfortably in time this month with an officer and twelve man platoon:



They'll be off for varnishing once the PVA holding the grass in place is dry  :)

Next up, another fourteen grenadiers...
