TYW Skirmishes
« on: August 20, 2013, 01:02:05 AM »
I have just updated our blog page with the report from a day's worth of Thirty Years' War man-to-man skirmish gaming with Brink of Battle at the Game Kastle store in Santa Clara California this past Saturday.

We did our hungry Swedish dismounted Horsemen making a stealthy hustle into Faustburg.

Here's a couple of pics:

Superb terrain and miniatures. The game looks like it was a great time.

I agree, nice little AAR. I almost thought the ogre was part of the first game ;)

You should have posted something on the GK site! I would have loved to come check it out--looks cool.

Looks like fun!  Sadly I was out of town that weekend, but please post if you host anything else at GK as I'd love to attend.

They had the event scheduled for over a month on their website.  I also made announcement in the Other Adventures forum since that's where Prof told me to post Brink of Battle general info.

Sorry you missed it.  Fear not, we LOVE Game Kastle and its staff.  We want to do more events there in the coming months.  I'll make sure you hear about them!  :D

As I mentioned above, they post it on their website calendar, and I'll post it here.  I'll do TYW again since its my favorite period, and our smoke rules are useful and unique.  I love showing them off.  lol

OK. I see it on the calendar now. I didn't realize Brink of Battle was the same as 30 Years skirmish, although I don't see anything on the Other Miniatures games forum. In any case, now that I know what it is, I'll come check it out. I'm looking for a good system for Eastern Renaissance skirmish games...
