Really good ideas here - especially the puppet master one. Got a proper Iron Maiden feel about it!

just gotta make sure that puppet stays on in the transport case ....  ???

Very imaginative! Would like to see some more of these conversions.

cheers for the encouragement chaps.  :)

sadly the necromancer took a bit of a tumble off of the painting table ,lost a hand and a puppet.
but it just gives me an excuse to buy a nice necromancer model,so if anyone has any recomendations.... ?  :D

in other sad news ,i got the camera out today ,to finally take some good photographs ,only to discover it was completely dead and in need of a new camera battery.

Started work on a new necromancer to replace the old ,rather unfortunate one.
can you guess what iv been watching alot of lately?

Also got a pic of all the ghouls so far painted ,standing in rank.

(the look better irl ,promise  :D )

I've all but given up photographing the Dwarves for now ,since they seem to get darker and darker every time i try.

progress is indeed slow ,but as of tomorrow i will be coursework free ,no more life drawing ,still life ,sculpture or any other type of art work to get between me and the 111 models i have left to paint :D

Finished building my new necromancer. iv also built the rest of the contents of the box ,but haven't had a chance to photograph everything yet.

Anywhere ,i present the lord of swords ,who took over from the puppet master after he met his end at the hands of a hardwood floor.

Very nice! Brilliant conversion work. The Mantic Undead are really such a brilliant set of figures, which makes it all the more puzzling that I find all the other races so damn terrible, especially the Dwarfs!

I think it's because mantics fantasy races are so far from looking human. their elves look gaunt and alien ,and their dwarves are squat and heavy.
Personally i like this ,as it makes them look like really different species ,but i doubt it was intentional on mantics part.
