I love your paint work.  I'm sooooo happy to see black highlighted properly and not with a gob gray as with many figures I've seen.  Black highlights are hard to do, and I'm very impressed!  :-* :-* :-*

Yeah....i noticed that too. I always find it difficult to highlight black. It's hard to do indeed. But how is it done properly. Perhaps someone can give a quick tutorial? Would be much appreciated.

As for tutorials... The key is to start dark, get lighter, and then go crazy and put a dot of white or almost-white colour as the final highlight. This is especially true for shiny things like full-grain polished leather or satin/silk or crow feathers.

If you're looking for more of a dull, faded black - which is essentially a gray I guess - then don't take the highlights quite as high, as in this one:
