Day 2, thankfully my wallet has been spared too much harm as I've been running demo games and haven't wandered around looking at the shiny

I have been put off, in the last couple of visits, by the absolute crush on the ground floor and the six-deep queues at the B&B, so I will be at Derby again this year, instead.

With the new room added (the annexe) I think a trick has been missed.  The bring and buy should have been in there with more room for traders in the main show.  In the past I've always tried to avoid the bring and buy like the plague.  I always think traders near it are given a raw deal for that reason.  I'm sure there are others like me who don't go near it

No change this year, although as appears the norm at most shows these days it did thin out after lunch. If we had not left the good wives shopping in Newbury we would also have joined the exodus I expect. Apart from Nick, Ged and James we did not see many folk we knew. Spent half hour watching Warwick run his Battlegroup Overlord participation, don't know if this had a direct effect on the fact that the pile of BGO books on the PSC were quite depleted when Dave got his copy. Didn't spend much, got some more MDF bases too rebase my WWII, some Volksturm figures, a pack of SCW figures and some clear counters to keep track of things we have moved during our BGK games, terrible thing getting old

I agree with Chilledenuff, the B&B should have been in the annex. I had to carry my stuff up to the top floor, queue for two hours to book it in. To put it mildly, 'The system ain't working'. Move it to the annex, set up lots of tables and let the punters look after their own stuff (the owner will stop items being missed, reduce thefts, make deals/haggle etc) have the 1 or 2 'staff' (yes that is all they had booking in over 70 punters at one stage) monitor the room (e.g. stopping people hogging tables etc). Don't charge at all, too much agro, same goes for cashing up, arguing over 'mislaid' items, time wasted queing instead of shopping. To offset the loss of income raise the entrance fee by £1. If things are not GREATLY changed I WILL NOT attend next year, I can do without the hassle.

Bring and buy notwithstanding, I enjoyed colours.  I strongly suggest more shows have mobi le tea trolleys as that was a great thing
