Wailing women, the God squad and the goat botherers
« on: February 16, 2015, 09:21:31 PM »
For quite a while now I've had a few 'ancillary' type figures which I hadn't got round to painting. Just having finished a SAGA warband I had a bit of painting time free so I decided to put together some vignettes that would use some of the figures. They don't really have any part in a game but they look quite nice as extras on the table. With all of these I decided to add a bit of hight to the vignette so some part of it on a rocky outcrop etc
First up were the lovely Wargames Foundry sculpts AG 1/8 German Women. I also had the severed heads from the standard bearer pack so I incorporated this as well. I built a holder which I magnetised into the rocky outcrop so I could switch figures in that position. The rest were glued down in place.
Anyway firstly the base under construction.

Next the finished stand with Volva on the outcrop and then the severed horses head in place of prominence.

Next the Bishop and sidekicks ( Bishop is by Perry Miniatures, one monk by Scheltrum & the other by Irregular. The cross is from Magnetic Display).

Finally the Westwind goat sacrificers.
