Modern 15mm
« on: October 19, 2013, 03:04:55 PM »
Iv recently got into Force on Force by ambush ally and it's a great game and Iv got a decent collection of 28mm miniatures but the cost is abit out of the range for a few of my friends so Iv decided to go down the road of 15mm as almost all of my gaming friend play FOW and the cost to build up a full force in 15mm will be abit better and it will attract a few more of my FOW friends.

So the big question

Who sells the best 15mm MODERN miniatures that I can get from the UK
It has to be the UK only as I recently bought some stuff from an American company that has been big in the gaming news and was hit with the customs charge :(

If you could post any pics of miniatures in comparison to something or another range please do as this will help me make a decision

Khurasan? I don't own any as I don't do 15mm, but they are awfully tempting!  lol

Another vote for Khurasan.  Service can be slow but quality is top notch.

Peter Pig is another favorite of mine and native to the UK.

I would avoid Rebel Minis.  Infantry castings that I received from them were very poor quality and their vehicles seem much larger than the infantry.

Huh. Sorry about that. I did not realize Khurasan were US.

When you say Modern, what more specifically are you thinking of?

EDIT: found this thread about Khurasan and UK ordering, seems encouraging: http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=291008

Ordered from Khurasan about 5 times and never had any issues, his minis are superb. I have not bought any of his moderns mind (that said I have some of his Yom-Kippur Syrians which are great), but I have been informed numerous times that they are very good, if they are anything like the sci fi, then they are probably right.

I know of a number of companies that sell 15mm moderns in the U.K (QRF, Peter Pig, Fighting 15s) and I know in the U.S there is Flytrap, Rebel minis however I have honestly no experience buying from them, so I couldn't pass comment, though they all have good ranges from what I see when I go for a browse, and when I see other peoples work.

When I say modern I'm after anything that will fit in with FOF enduring freedom and enduring freedom so British from 2002-today and Americans from 1998-today and afghans, Somalis, armed civilians :)

Don't CP models do Iraqis and British SAS for the 1991 Gulf war? (Though they'd equally be as good as 2003 stuff too, and as some current Iranian units)
