IHMN basing square or round ?

I'm going to undercoat my IHMN french band .

as part of the figures are eureka , i will use slotta base but round or square ?



i will use a base for the nanarchist and a base for the pram .

I use round ones. Its an aesthetics thing......

I use square 25mm Slotta and Recessed depending on the figures integral, if any base.
It gives diverse manufacturers figures a similar height comparison and seeing as there simply wasn't the choice there is now when I started gaming bases wise, I tend to keep to it.
Just so my new stuff fits in with the older figs.

However I do like the new 30mm round lipped bases, like those that the Malifaux figs come with.

Personal choice and as was said makes no difference in this game.

As with the majority of my legacy figures "all" * are mounted on either 20 mm round (for Litko movement tray - 20 mm circular openings - and "trayless" skirmish games) or .75" square bases for forming units for non-skirmish games when I don't have enough Litko unit/skirmish movement trays with the appropriate square openings.   

I would say anything works as long as you are consistent.     Preferably your opponents use the same relative basing conventions.

* I do have some fantasy/SF/historical figures on larger bases (came that way, such as Reaper, or the size of the figure is too large to fit on a  20 mm/ .75" base.)   I just try and avoid that with new purchases.

I do like the 30mm round bases which seem to have become the norm...just seems right!
My only annoyance is that all my older figures are on unlipped 25mm round bases and I am loathe to go through all the rebasing.

I've also been sticking with the 30mm round. 'Course, this gorilla with a hat will need a 40mm base instead...

I stick all my 28mm figures on 1p pieces or 2p pieces depending on the size/pose of the figure.  I have a few OshiromModelTerrain clear perspex bases for my 7TV figures where I want the underlying terrain (indoors/outdoors) to show through.
