Starcraft Viking (modelling & sculpting)
« on: 05 September 2013, 09:10:47 PM »
Inspired by device
I should say, there was no goal to make all details accurately because starcraft mech was more like a inspiration, but not a specification

scale 1/65 (28 mm)

material: sonet, milliput, green staff, magiс sculpt, supeфr sculpey
+ plexiglas, copper wire, plastic cards etc.

No one bits was used

duration with slots - 2,3 years. (yeahh, I often wanted to throw all; there were moments when main nides were broken and I had to restore a lot of things from beginning.
capasity~160 hours

some photos WIP  you may look here

glass is possible to be removed from the cockpit:

Pilot inside is blinded. If somebody like to look very deep he will see even legs.

и на десерт, король и его свита (марадеры и огнеметчики):

Looks pretty good.  That's a ton of work!  I'd have cheaped out and slapped together some bits (I can think of a source for most of your legs/arms etc.).  But then it'd probably not look half as good.  Never been a Starcraft fan but that's a good lookin' suit.

I like it. If it goes into production I'll spend money on it.

Even with the use of bits from all over the place, that would have been a great piece of work. But it being a complete scratchbuild makes it simply epic!

Several buckets of kudos to you sir; that is an awesome result and I'm sure the hordes will be clammoring at the gates shortly for a copy.

Please say you will be casting this, because such a lovely machine deserves being incarnated many, many times!

Dear colleagues!

Great thanks for kinds words!!! It's really good for me.

Unfortunatelly I decided to do not make copies, because I have been still selling copies of my maradeurs and firebats from starcraft and now realize that it's not profitable but wast a lot of my time. Sorry. Maybe my future works - I do.
