Natalia, Secret Agent

This is Natalia, Secret Agent from Reaper. She is a metal miniature. I did this figure for a friend who is a writer as part of a book promotion. She was really hard to paint as all that black was hard to highlight. I also custom built the base to accentuate her dynamic pose.

I didn't get paid a commission to do this figure and I'm giving her and a copy of the book away to help my friend promote his book.

I am trying to paint (pathetically as always) some Zorro figures and my black does not look near as good.  Heck, it doesn't even look good but that is another story.

For the black I began by mixing black with Reaper Brilliant Blue in a 3:2 ratio then reduced the black as I brought up the layers until I had pure Brilliant Blue. Then I did two final highlighted layers using Brilliant Blue mixed with white in a 3:1 ratio and finally in a 3:2 ratio. That's a good 7 layers just in highlights. She took a couple of weeks off and on to do as it was very frustrating.
