Zombies would go wild if they saw these, would make for an interesting game.

Thanks for the kind feedback everyone.

I added an APC to the force over the weekend.  Im not 100% happy with it to be honest, but its a bit of a laugh all the same.  I dont get to paint many tanks that have an arse after all...

And a (dodgy) photo of my entire Tenebrainian incursion force slithering with parade ground precision toward their Ursa Miner foes...

Thats the end of my Tenebrainian forces for now, although I do have a "Chovar" jellyfish brain due to arrive with the Deadzone Kickstarter stuff soon, so I guess that I will add that to these guys too.

More photos and waffle on my blog.  Comments and criticisms all happily received :)

Great painting all round  8)

I have always found it difficult to paint stuff like that as I've never been sure what is what (especially the tank, which is a Kryomech one I think? ).

cheers

Yep, a Kryomek Helion Drone Carrier (grav) from Scotia Grendel.

As indistinct bio-tech models go that one isnt too bad: its mostly pretty clear which bits are which.  Of course the fact that I was translating a quite extreme and "unrealistic" colour scheme on to it may have made things easier: I didnt have to worry if the function of the various elements made sense, if you know what I mean, so they could be any colour I wanted.

I did follow through on the scheme as defined by the rest of the models though: grey for hard parts, yellowish brown for tentacles/tubing, blue for brain/chassis (?), red-pink for wobbly bits and green for eyes.  As I write that I realise that it doesnt really make that much sense really, but it is clear in my head :)

Thanks Suber :)

The whole lot is brilliant  :-*

The mix of troops/vehicles and the bright paint-schemes really work well together and create a very imaginative and unique little army.

Excellent stuff :D

What you say does make sense and seeing them painted is much better than just looking at them in bare metal (which I did many years ago before deciding I wasn't going to do anything with them  ::) ).

cheers

Really like how your force has turned out. Very nice painting which has brought them all together very, very well.

Just a little query - where does that mech/bot/walker come from?

Scratch that - just realised it is a rear shot of the Hasslefree walker.

Thanks for the feedback guys.  I hope to get these guys on a gaming table within a fortnight or so, which should be fun purely from a visual perspective I suspect. I will take a few more photos of them dishing out their particular brand of brain and tentacle justice then.

Very nice Paul, great use of the kryomek Helion vehicle.

I have wanted to shoehorn the Kryomek bio-vehicles into a project for a while now, but they didnt really fit with the usual bug type aliens around.  They fit in with these peculiar guys though.  The Kromek tanks are odd designs, but they are at least quite different and deserve some attention just for that.

Great stuff  :)

Thanks very much George, but its definitely not as inspiring as your sculpting :)  There are a couple of your sculpts in this force and I am hoping to add the fishfaced robot to these guys too.  I think that it will fit in nicely, entertainingly weird.
