Sub-Roman Warriors for Dux Brit
« on: September 17, 2013, 02:51:09 PM »
Here's the last main unit of the Sub-Roman / British army for Dux Brit. Two groups of warriors (distinguished from levy by their helmets). These are Gripping Beast Dark Age warriors, with West Wind British helmeted heads. The re-heading process involves a bit of drilling and dremelling but is very straightforward.

Now, as my gammy leg will let me get to the builders' yard and buy a sheet of MDF, I'll set up a game!

More details and more pictures here:

and here's a taster picture:

Measure with a micrometer, mark with chalk, cut with an axe, hammer to fit, paint to match!

Looks good, Mitch. The church in the background shows scale nicely (and yes, I followed that thread as well).
Cheers,

Always a pleasure to see more Dux. Keep up the good work.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

I've got some more bits and pieces for this one in the works, and most of a Pictish army too (if the supplement and cards ever come out!)
