Nah, BoW commenters were much meaner.  ;D

BoW?

Didn't even think they'd touch it! Got a link?

Try http://www.beastsofwar.com/fantasy-wargaming/ride-battle-pewter-ponies/

Good luck - not my style but 15 years ago could have done with these for my daughter.

The better half wanted me to pass on "There'd better be one with a cowboy hat in the stretch goals, or I'm not pledging."

Her words, not mine.  ;)

Sort of, the hat is there for unlocking so you can stick it on one of the particular ponies....  ::)

Good thing I already have a few pony-sized cowboy hats in stock...  :D

Not until all of those that have pledged have received their figures I'm afraid.

Good heavens.  When I first heard about these I thought that, although not at all to my (admittedly slightly po-faced) tastes, I thought they were delightfully absurd and a desperately-needed lightening of the grimdark side of fantasy.  I wouldn't want to buy them myself, but that's just me.

What truly saddens me, however, is the outpouring of outright vitriol and worrying prejudice that I've seen on one or two boards.  I honestly thought the hobby was past all this.

Bergil, very best of luck to you, mate.  May your ponies never go lame.

 :D Thanks,

The only place the vitriol has really gone on is Dakka Dakka. Unless you've seen something I haven't!

I know this doesn't belong to the LAF where everyone knows how to behave themselves quite well, but I cannot keep quiet on that any longer:

kind of off-topic rant
I don't like them as "ponies from that show" either (I prefer the more show accurate toy style myself), but they are good sculpts, and as I said in an earlier thread: I'd really like to use them as "slightly alien" ponies. I don't like 50s SciFi, but have I ever stomped into a retro-SciFi thread and exclaimed "RAYGUNS ARE CRAP!" No, propably because I've learned somewhere in my early childhood days, that one doesn't do that. It's kinda funny, because the show actually tries to teach that lesson as one of it's core messages:

"Love and Tolerance"

I watch it, i love it, and while I do not like every work from every fan I highly appreciate the creativity the show started in thousands of people across the globe.

And before I forget myself: BroHoof, Bergil /)

Can't say as I'm a fan of that show, but I thought this was an amusing little project and sent it to the friends who I know are fans.

Have you posted it to any of the big pony fan-forums? Seems like this might well sell to even the non-wargaming portion of that particular fandom.
