Gettysburg: The Valley of Death

I've seen the Gordon and Hague website for their Gettysburg game and noticed they have started a kickstarter for it.  Seems the offer a board version and versions with painted minis.

I've always been interested in ACW but have never bought into figures or rules to play it.   My Dad is an ACW re-enactor and even before that has read every book he could on the subject and took me to various battlefields when I was a little one.

I look at this game and almost bought the board version a few months ago.   Even in the board only version it looks pretty cool, lovely map board and I like the unit counters.

Any of you folks ever play it?   What are the good and bad of it?

Being an adherent to the fine 15 mm scale, I can attest that since your topic focuses on the even smaller world of 10 mm you are likely out of luck here at LAF - most of the folk here game with those steroidal miniatures called 28 mm.  I just don't understand that illness ( ) but I do see some mighty fine brushwork on display here.

Actually, they are selling the painted minis in 15mm now, not 10mm.

Interesting.  Just checked out there web site and all I found was the kickstarter but nothing for sale.  Hmm.
