Fantastic! Another vote for the metal posts with resin tops.

Did you try different coloured transparent resin i.e orange or yellow?

See, being an "insane gamer" - If we have clear tops, I would simply find a way to drill the post out - then run a piece of clear plastic up the middle - that way I could still light them ;)

I was asking myself if there is technical solution possible to cast a metal rod into the resin that can conduct electricity to a LED drilled into the clear lamp....
would solve a lot of problems.....

I think that while some people will want to try and make them actually light up, most potential customers will be satisfied with lamps that just look the part without electricals.

One option is to offer the clear bottoms IF sales of the other kind allow it.

Well, it looks like the verdict is in! Metal posts with clear resin lamps it is! I can offer to sell clear resin posts to anyone who want's them (send me a message if you do), but by the sounds of it, most of you would prefer the metal posts.

I wont be trying the LED lit lamp post. I have thought about it but want to spend my time making more models. I have so many I want to make!

Thanks everyone for your comments, very helpful!  :)

I'm thinking of supplying the lamps with little plain round metal bases and selling them as a set of 4 of each size. So there would be a set of 4 small posts with little lamps, a set of 4 medium posts with little lamps and a set of 4 large posts with large lamps. That's the plan at the moment.

I'll get to work on these soon as I can and I should have a few other bits of Victorian Street furniture soon.

I'll keep you up to date with when they will be for sale and also the cost.

If you have other comments, please let me know!

Top work mr yeoman. I quite like the medium ones and although I'm a bit late, I'd vote for metal.

A pack of 10 should fit the bill quite nicely  :D

Really nice. I think white metal would be fine with resin lamps would be fine.

How about offering the tops separately?

I'd buy them and add posts from brass rod or something...

Looking very good but I'm also in agreement with the metal post/resin top solution.

Hello,
Finally the lamp posts are on eBay! I'm selling them as pack of 4 as small, medium and large posts. Not many kits at the moment but we're making more.

Small - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111198682170?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

Medium - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121201569449?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

Large - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111198676316?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

I've also got some other new items like snowman, Early, mid and late Victorian post boxes, crystals and British Victorian manhole covers but I'll be painting them up and posting about them in a week or so.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback and comments about these lamps, it was very encouraging and helpful!  :)

Brilliant.  :D

Love the post boxes and manhole covers, they'll be going on the list.

Just to be awkward, would it be possible to have all the manhole covers the same, as I'm looking to represent part of London I'd like to have a pack made up of just the generic London cover?
