I've already mentioned these on the US Forces thread, but for those who don't already know about it, there's a great little site which has a load of British and Commonwealth Army Council Instructions for organisation and equipment during the pre-WW2 and WW2 period.

Definitely worth a root through for you VBCW types, although sadly there are a couple missing.

I don't mind at all. We're a VBCW friendly board. 

I must admit I wish I had found it a while back... it's caused me no end of rewriting. Although thankfully it has backed up some of my guesswork on Inter-war organisations.

Apparently there is more to go on the web site as the guy scans and creates the pdfs for it... although I don't know how long ago he posted that. Nevertheless it's a great resource for which I'm grateful anyway.
