Questions re. Chain Reaction 3
« on: September 23, 2013, 05:31:08 PM »
I tried reading CR2 a while back, but gave up as I just couldn't make any sense out of it. I've now tried reading CR3, and still can't make any sense out of it. Firstly, there seems to be missing all sorts of tables, where are the 'received fire test' results, 'man down test' results, etc?
Hope someone can help me make sense of this,
Thanks
Duncan

If you've got the 48 page pdf version of CR3.0 Final Version, the tables are on page 46 which is one of the Quick Reference Sheets.
It could be worth you joining 2HW's forum (http://site.twohourwargames.com/forum/index.php)- Ed should be able to answer more complicated questions.
I don\'t know whether to be a good example or a horrible warning.

Thanks! I got to the index and thought that was it and couldn't find it referenced in the index or referenced where they were in the main body of the rules. Anyway, now I can read it again and see if I can make more sense of it this time round.

I'd set up a couple of figures and play out a few gunfights and melees.  It's one of those games where a lot of the action arises from the results of the reaction tests.  It's hard to explain on paper, but after a few firefights you see how things work.

I'd guessed that much, but not being able to find the reaction tables prevented me even being able to do that.
