Sub-Roman Skirmishers for Dux Brit*

These are the first reinforcements for a British/Sub-Roman Dux Brit army. It barely qualifies as a conversion: a headswap for a West Wind head, and the addition of a number of javelins. It would be interesting to see if these gumbies have any more effect on a fight than the missile troops did!

Don't underestimate the archers!

My mate Glenn thought his elite Gedrith were impervious to missiles and lost half his unit (3 men) to a lucky volley from a mercenary archer group.

On another occasion a group of just 4 skirmishers gave so much shock to a 2 group formation they were unable to close the gap with an already decimated shieldwall.

Willie, in the game I played, neither the Saxon nor the British missile troops scored at all. They couldn't have hit the side of a barn if they were inside with the doors shut behind them!

I have high hopes that these blokes will do a bit more.
