Grenadier Deep Ones

Recently I finished up my Grenadier Deep Ones that have been on the bench for quite a while. Hopefully this will motivate me to paint more so I can actually play a game...

I have to have a serious look around for some good Deep Ones to team up with the ruddy great bunch of Pulp era sailors that I have now.
These look like they will be worth a looksie.

Love the paint job an especially the water bases. Any chance of a more vertical pic? I'd like to see how you did those two. 

I have a half dozen deep ones to base and still trying to decide - land, water or some type of mix...

Those are my favorite Deep Ones sculpts, in fact I still have each of two of each of them (actually, I still have the majority of the Grenadier monsters, most of them are still impressive.) You did a marvelous job on them, well done and thanks for sharing.

The "water" is Vallejo Water Effects with some artist's ink and a few coats of Future floor polish.
