28mm rules for 6mm, measurements question
« on: August 16, 2014, 09:06:54 PM »
I am about to kickoff some 6mm battles using Battlesystem 28/25mm rules.

I was thinking about the measurements and wondered what others did/would do. I have three main runners:

1. Just use cms instead of inches (this is right for 10mm using 25mm rules)
2. Use the above divide by two, which would work for 5mm
3. work it out in inches

Thanks for your advice....

I'd just go for cms. It lets you focus on the rest of the game without having to do any mathematics. Always a chance of an error even if only dividing by 2. Granted not much of a chance but still there.

I'd go with cms, too.

There is little chance that the distances are accurate to the figure scales anyway.

We have played lots of Kings of War using 10mm figures, and just kept all the standard 28mm moves, ranges and unit footprints. We just had lots of figures making a regiment not just 20.

Given ground/figure scale inequalities (and I am lazy) I would just use the distances as written.  If you must change just use cm measurements.

Gracias,

Glenn
