Something for Helen
« on: May 20, 2008, 02:57:58 PM »
Dear Helen,
In a local auction catalogue, where you can find some interesting photos etc material for WW1, WW2 and balkan wars I found one interesting postcard.

Legend translates: "German naval arillery alongwith turks fire against the mixed English and French fleet at Dardanelles"

link: http://www.collectio.gr/database/auction.asp?page=4&lotno1=3000

item lot 3152

Hope you like

Not Helen (of course), but I wanted to thank you for this link.  Cool stuff in there.  Would you mind translating all the rest of them as well?   :D

All 4000 lots???

That's asking too much, huh?   :D

I love the hat in Lot 3347.  And the juxtaposition of the gun and tights in Lot 3341 makes me grin too.

Thanks again for the link.

Thanks Arg,

I'll take my time looking through all this wonderful material.

Thanks again for thinking of me.
Best wishes,
