Please do check out the proposed Hail Caesar armylist on the previus page and help me evolve it.

I needed a propper commander for my forces.

Many more pictures and a more detail background story at:
http://kampgruppe-engel.blogspot.se/2014/11/ebbe-sunesen-hvide-af-knardrup.html

I wanted a commander with a bigger base so it would look impressive on the table, to get the attention.
I have mixed in all kind of bits in the building process, a real fun conversion.

Colourwise I went with the Coat of Arms of the Danish family/clan of Hvide. It sure felt wrong to paint a Dane in blue.  o_o

Ebbe Sunesen was a member of the Hvide family and I have chosen to name my miniature after him.
Ebbe Sunesen Hvide af Knarup died at the battle of Lena 1208
Where the Swedish Kings Sverker aided by Danish troops was defeated by Erik Knutsson aided by Norwegian troops.

Im tempted to join in on your little project.
I think I need to read up on history a little and find me a suitable family or maybe a mercenary captain.
And then study the Lion Rampand rules a little more.

The Håtunaleken could be a nice excuse to get some special minatures.  lol

Go for the House of Hvide, as several Danish houses had estates in Sweden or neare the border (Scanie, Halland, Blekinge) so it should not be a problem.

Might you bring some next time in Stockhokholm. We will start small with just 12 points for each plauer and run multiplayer games. But bring minis for a 24 point Hoast to:)

Thanks guys.

Thanks for the links Druzhina. You sure have a nice collection of references.  :D

I thought Ebbe Sunesen Hvide could need some knights.

So bearing the colours of Hvide here are some.
They are Fireforge miniatures but with some extra Gripping Beast bits and some Perry Wotr horses as I was some short.

Many more pictures at: http://kampgruppe-engel.blogspot.se/2014/11/danish-knights.html#comment-form

And together with the Danish Sergeants I have painted previously they can make up a standard size unit in Hail Caesar.

Thanks.

I just finished a unit of crossbowmen, they are a mix of Fireforge and Gripping Beast plastic miniatures.

Sorry for the bad pic, the weather is terrible so hard to get a good daylight.

Thanks.

Last week I visited Stockholm and I and Dalauppror talked about me trying out the Lion Rampant rules.

So I gathered my forces to see what I have painted. And what do you know, I could muster a 24point host of Danes.

http://kampgruppe-engel.blogspot.se/2014/11/medieval-scandinavia-lion-rampant.html

My host of  Danes from the house of Hvide comprised of:
6 Mounted Men-at-arms *
6 Mounted Men-at-arms
6 Mounted Serjeants
12 Foot Serjeants
12 Crosbowmen

Call out the Ledung...

My biggest patch paint by far...

After I started converting miniatures it sort of starting to grow.... I wanted to include more and more miniatures and get the right mixtures of arms and equipment.
