I was talking about the physical products I'd seen before mate, I had a feeling that their quality was on the up and again the fact that they had a large range already produced, again this added alot for me ie translation of digital to physical so to speak.

And the digital sculpting being shown up'd the quality of their products in my eyes.

End of the day I backed it on that basis, totally agree that physical sculpt would have helped the wider backer recruitment. Finally, I think a pledge of £5 got you some artwork and access to the pledge calculator.

Gods!  The interface on Kickstarter is pox.

Does anyone know how I can tell what number backer I am on a project?

A box of 'goodies' arrived this morning - and I do mean 'goodies'! I've only had a quick look at the figures (still in their grip-bags) but what I can see is very, very impressive. Cast very cleanly in 'proper' resin (yer can keep yer restic shite!) with, on the quick inspection I've given them, no prominent mould lines (actually, haven't seen any!), no casting flaws and just a little flash. Great looking, 'hard' sci-fi troopers. wait 'til you see the detail on the exo-skeletons...Brilliant stuff!
I'll get a couple out of the bags later, blu-tak them and post a few pics on the blog.

"Sounds great!" he said, waiting impatiently in the USA

Looking forward to your brushwork, man.

I bought their Exo-Lords.  :-*

I'm sure there will be no problem with quality.

Anvil seems to be moving a step at a time to offering better product and excellent prices.

Just a quick question - are the heads separate?

Just a quick question - are the heads separate?

Mostly no - just a couple of the troopers and the three 'Ajax' exo-mechs have separate heads the rest are cast to the torso (separate legs). Some variation possible but make sure the pistol wielding troopers have empty holsters!

Mixed feelings from me then.

I had a look at your blog too Dwartist and the pictures are pretty useful.

Some of my original fears appear to have come through to the final sculpts but the good thing is they are not all present and I am quite impressed with the step up these are on their other miniatures.

They could have been better with reducing the overall chunkiness about them, perhaps reduce the guns down a bit as well as the heads. Looking at the rifle barrels - they exceed the magazine size . . . something that always bugs me in that they are the two most important features on any gun concept to relate to each other, in terms of projectiles anyway.

I shall wait until I see the prices to decide whether to buy and hack the heads off or to go with the alternatives out there from the likes of Puppets of War or the maxmini ones.

Got mine today as well, and I'll just echo dwartist here!
