Ah, I see.

Maybe that was the robot as a young lad and he's all grown up now. They do grow up so fast  ;)

Somewhere along the way this guy did manage to grow a few mm, not too sure which parts I should trim down to make it right but for now I'm happy enough to keep him as he is!

At least he looks like the thing he's supposed to look like! :D
If you'd like an apocalyptic monster in 28mm, throw me a PM and I'll think it over.

I'm still in the planning stages for all that stuff! I do have the money ready to invest in the casting materials, but I'm gonna hold back on making a store until I have at least a few items cast up in a quality I'm happy with!

Few odds and ends;

Yea there's already one out there but I'm really not a fan of them!

Slow progress on some guns, but I don't have many hours anymore! D:

Nice bloatfly! I agree the Armorcast one isn't great.

Love how that heavy incinerator is looking! I NEED one of those!

Are you considering weapon sprues for those guns, or would you just be releasing them on their own based on the demands of people? Having weapons based on those from the games is a great prospect as well, substituting in other guns, whilst quite acceptable, isn't the same as having something straight from a game.

Any Wattz 2000's or Pulse Rifles (though woe betide all those angles) planned? ...Not that I would foam at the mouth for a pack of them or anything. ...Nope. ...  :)

I'm slowly making a list of all of the weapons I want to make.
Not too sure how I'll cast them for now. Maybe weapon packs, maybe on demand..

Got a new weapon on the way!

And a trio of mutant-based goodness.
also on top of that pile of white-tac with the tentacle-y mutant (google fallout concept art and you might recognise that guy by the way) are three skeletal toes...
I figured out a way of making my "main" sculpts feet - properly. c:

Ooh, cool you're making some models that are based off of concept art too. There's some odd looking stuff amongst those sketches (the original Super Mutant design was quite different, though pretty interesting). Are you planning on arming that Super Mutant with a gun or leaving it unarmed/with a melee weapon? I disliked the way they handled guns in the game, ie by scaling up the weapon to fit their proportions, but hopefully if you are you'll manage to pull it off all right (hey them being weedy little guns could really show of their size).

Anyhow, nice work. ^^

I intend on sorting the mutant out so I like it, then making a few sets of arms
Then, when I've got a weapon set cast up, I'll modify a few of them with mutant-sized hands and see if any arms need rejigging to fit them. c:

So the above probably will change order at some stage.
But yea, the mutants WILL be holding up the same sized guns as the people, making the mutants really look their size.

What I REALLY want to do, with the mutants and then with some humans once I find the time to start yet another new portion to this project of mine..
Is to take the basic, repose it and cut it into pieces to allow for multi-part, pose-able figures.

I want to do a similar thing with a raider-typed figure.
We'll see - I'll get a bit of experience under my belt with the wasteland dragon, first and see if I can stay sane enough to try the rest!

Well when working with a project it can come down to: produce a wide variety of stuff, or smaller, more concise lot. For the purpose of a webstore either could work, with the niche aspect of it probably being aided by having more stuff on offer than variant kits for existing models. Still, Brother Vinni seems to get away with selling just a small range of models, so it could be perfectly acceptable to do the same.

Arm sets/upgrade sprues, etc are a good idea, as well they add a lot more mileage to a sculpt. Hacking away at model to produce a new post is well and good, but that's dependent on the person really, so this added ease would make your models more appealing.

Ok, a little bit of the stuff I've been finally able to work on lately;

The hand doesn't look that bad in person, honest  ???

It's been driving me nuts, those little details and bits.
I'm terrified of casting it, now!

Hehe, silly mutants;

And that's it (for this thread... The dragon one has a bit of an update on the way)
