Stein Bagger Statue
« on: October 14, 2013, 04:20:50 PM »
OK, I had no idea where to post this, so it ended on the workbench

For some time our gaming group had been talking about getting a statue of the founder our city, for the city Røvede, which is the setting for most of our crazy games. But until now we had only been talking about it.

So recently when I was in Belgium on vecation I was very surprised to see Stein Bagger souveniers all over the place. I bought one and brought it home to tranform it to a Stein Bagger monument for Røvede.

Granted it was Stein Bagger as a child, but I think it will work out fine anyway.

I hope you like it  ;D

Some WIP pictures:

I did paint it myself, but apparently have no photos prior to that.

Manneke Pis!!

He's one of Belgium's most celebrated heroes. Yeah, I know...  :D

Nice work on the weathering; that's a very convincing verdigris on the bronze.
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Thanks, it is my first attempt to paint anything like this.

I am also pleased ith the result, even though it is not perfect. But I think it will work out fine as a terrain piece.

Great work on the verdigris, gotta agree.
Great figures posing like tourists everywhere too.

Thanks guys.

He is from Black Cat Bases. But right now it seems like they have some trouble, so it might be wise to contact them first before putting in an order.

That might explain their absence from the Crisis 2013 line-up then. A real shame, as they're always on my short list... :?

Yes, it is a very sad story. Black Cat has always been one of my favourite online shops. Always friendly contact and great customer service.

There is a thread about it in the Bazaar here.

Hopefully things will be resolved. It seems that some people are recieving their stuff with much delay, but others are still waiting.
