Painting my fantasy football beastmen
« on: October 18, 2013, 10:40:10 AM »
At the start of 2012 I started a little project to make a small range of fantasy football beastmen. After a long and drawn out process taking over 12 months, I've ended up with 6 figures (concepts by Roberto Cirillo, sculpting by John Pickford), which I've stuck up for sale on my blog: http://beastfaceminiatures.blogspot.co.uk/

I've also started painting my own copies of the figures - here are the 3 I've painted so far:

Hope you like them!

They're quite fun. As you say, slightly retro, which should match with most of the other fantasy football models.

Very nice, indeed!

They add some really nice variety compared to the 'originals'...

Nice one, Axiom! I like the bovine look and the painting is really good. I'm a sucker for orange and green myself.

VERY WELL DONE! The Beasty Boys painted up SPLENDIDLY. Of all the Fantasy races, the Beast Men fit with Blood Bowl/American style the best; if not on appearance, definitely on personality.

Wonderful paint job on some exceptional good sculpts :)

Got my little set on Saturday - sorry for not letting you know, but have been very busy building a 1:1 shed at "our" new school ;)

Finished off the last beastman last night, so the whole set of six is now painted:

And with a bit of photo trickery, this is what a 12-player team might look like:

Just need to sell a few teams to pay back all the outlay!
