Notice the change of title ?

I took against the mill, realising that I was making it to fill the table rather than as a standalone piece in its own right.  So the mill had to go....

..... Hammer time!

On a more positive note, I've made a lot of progress with the farmhouse

I thought about hinging the gates but in the end opted for a slide in insert that can be removed when cannon blow them asunder!

Tomorrow I'll be marking the flint and mortar, applying flock and sand, and tidying up with greenstuff (including the frames for the window arches).

 :D

It lacked the necessary finesse (the mill, not the hammer)

Now no-one's going to argue when you insist you rolled exactly what was required!

"I'm sure it was a 1 he rolled"
"Does he still have the hammer?"
"Yup"
"Ooh a 10, nice dice rolling Steve!"

That's the spirit Steve. If it's not good enough, it has to go. I'm right with you :)

The farmhouse however, is looking great. Far better to have one brilliant new building on the table than two average ones. Quality over quantity any day  8)

The mill will be back at a future date, better in every way, I am quite sure.

Saturday night update .....

Tiles kindly cut out by my lovely wife as she sensed that time was slipping away from me..... Eek!

A bit of trimming then sand and greenstuff tomorrow followed by paint, varnish and flock.

 :)

Sunday early evening - by this time next week BLAM will be a memory  :o

The last wip image as when it's next seen it will be painted, the bushes flocked and the moat varnished.

For BLAM I expect to get this and the two new baseboards plus an artillery unit and a treasure wagon painted..... (Sorry Richard, I think I shall run out of time to complete the additional infantry unit  :( )

This is going to look like a couple of dangly canine wotsits once it is finished.
