With everyone painting gladiators and showing their arenas, I finally took the plunge and bought some gladiators that I've been eyeing for a while now.  With gladiators in hand, I  decided to build an arena.  I went with just the arena and wall.  Then I decided on hex base as I am going to use Furt's rules when they come out, until then I'll use Warhammer's Gladiator rules.  I have two gladiators painted, just waiting for the bases to dry so I can finish them.  Photos of them to follow soon, then the games can begin!

Those are Foundry gladiators in the second pic.
The doors were made out of balsa and coffee stirrers, and were really fun to make.  More pictures of the arena on my site.  theparadeground.blogspot.com

C/C always welcome.

Splendid stuff, that's a sizeable arena. :)

Thank you, I wanted an arena that could be used for single combat or mass battles.

WOW!! A man of action Justin - that's the spirit! I've been "working" on a similar sized arena for literally years now and here you go and just whip one up. Well done.  :o

Really nice design. I love the doors and widows etc.

@ Furt, funny you say that, I can't tell you the hours I spent looking at your blog studying your pictures.  I pulled a lot of my inspiration from them.

Ave Justinus!

That's one massive arena!  :o  ;D

Looking very good, I'm sure epic matches will be fought in that arena.

Beautiful Justin. Really loving your skin tones mate.  :-*

I am just finishing the same secutor and I think I'll give him that same shield.
