Alternative models for sisters of battle?
« on: October 13, 2013, 11:06:31 PM »
Greeting chaps.

Something I've always wanted to do was a squad of traitorous sisters of battle for my chaos space marine army. I'd been hoping GW would make some plastics for easy conversion but that seems to be gone now.

Does anyone know of good looking miniatures that would do as replacements?

Thanks for your time.

Few battle nuns from Reaper

http://www.infinitythegame.com/infinity/en/2013/miniatures/reverend-moiras-3/
and there are some battle nuns in Infinity.

Raging Heroes will have something soon I think

but really nothing quite like power armoured sisters out there now. Another alternative is to build them from some Dark Eldar and Dark Elf bits and imperial weapons.

I think there were some heavily armoured female fantasy warriors in one of the Chronopia factions that could be at least a starting point for conversion to traitor Sisters. Sorry I can't give you more info though, I'm about to head out of the house.

I also think there was recently a kickstarter that was making something like this. Don't think it funded though. They were prob to nice looking though.

There were the Shockforce battle sisters (I can't remember what they were called)... wasn't there a kickstarter for them as well (maybe that was the one that failed)?

I didn't think much to them to be honest.

As for female fighters, weren't there Etoilles Militant in the old Warzone game? I am sure that the new Resurrection game may ... um... resurrrect them at some point? You can still get the old ones on E-Bay and maybe from Prince August (if they still have stock).

Oh, no. It was funded (Raging Heroes) and the miniatures look pretty darn good.

I would be willing to bet that the miniatures will be more on a line with infinity minis rather that GW stuff.

But they look pretty good to me, with a number of different troop types (alternative heads) and hero figures.. an example:

I was actually thinking of the shock force ones Inso was talking  about. But yep there are those raging heroes ones too.
