Pro Gloria Kickstarter Landsknecht casualty

Stephan has been waiting very patiently for this, I hope it was worth it.

I understand these two figures will be available as bonus pledge figures once the Kickstarter campaign gets underway, i'm a very lucky and happy painter to have them in my collection.

All the best

Stuart

They are very nice sculpts indeed and you have coloured them in rather well too.

I don't think this Kickstarter is going to need incentives though, it should fly on merit alone

darn gremlins!

There's a couple of close ups on my Landsknecht painting blog;

http://www.paintinglandsknechts.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/landsknecht-casualty-vignette.html

It goes without saying that these were a joy to paint. They have a 1530-40 feel about them, I love the officer's half armour and Burgonet in particular - the evolution of the Burgonet is one of those geeky things I particularly enjoy about Renaissance armour.

The gold etching is fairly typical of most field garnitures and half armours. I was recently kindly loaned a full colour catalogue of the vienna Kunst Historiches Museum which features many examples of this from fairly modest to vastly garish.

From the same catalogue I have painted the pistol as an early inlaid horn flintlock.

Just plain fun. I'm a happy chap.

Above three emoticons sum it all up, both the sculpts and paint job.

Wow - what a great piece Stuart. And superb sculpting from the Hicksmeister too of course.
