AKULA AAR: Get Matt to the Church on Time

As the groom in this AAR, I have to thank my brother M4Jumbo for putting this game together as part of my bachelor party.  It was an awesome surprise that I didn't know about beforehand and it was so cool when he "set the scene" for the game and revealed that he’d created 28mm versions of each of us for the tabletop to use in this scenario (and hopefully many more to come).

What a great way to follow up our journey out for drinks and celebration earlier that evening (which, as the AAR states, took place in part at a local zombie-themed bar).  

My fiancée (now wife) appreciated that not even the zombie apocalypse could stop our wedding and that my 28mm friends made sure I got the church on time!  

I'm sure those scratches and bites on my brother's arm will turn out to be nothing . . . .

Only just noticed this thread... great table, AAR, etc. Even better theme for a game... although I do wonder what the bride-to-be might have thought of it. 

Akky's rules are a fave with us, so fast and simple it switches all the emphasis onto playing... pew! pew! dakkadakka! Kerpow!

Now, THIS is how an AAR should be.

Great minis, buildings, background, tension, action, and everybody participating truly involved to reach the objective, because there are things that just can't wait and are really important to achieve.

Glad to see the goal was reached and all had a fun.

AKULA's rules are a favorite with my group too, as they are fast, simple and totally customizable to accomodate your collection of minis and your ideas.

Thanks for sharing, and I hope to see the next AAR. (Maybe the already suggested "Survive the Honeymoon" mission?).
