GHQ - catalogue - micro armour modern - micro armour former Warsaw Pact - tanks or whatever?

Not so bad?

There is also the Combat Command by GHQ boxed set for Vietnam.
http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/vn150.html
This is something that I painted for GHQ.

Yeah, I get it now  ;) cheers

Those helicopters and figures are nicely done. I can see myself starting off with that set and then NVA and VC infantry to combat 'em. Not bad for about £40

It isn't the easiest site to browse.

On mixing ranges bear in mind GHQ are 1/285th and H&R are 1/300th, and figures wise H&R are quite small, and there's the old range and the newer range, while GHQ are on the larger side.

You can get an idea of that here: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bob_mackenzie/6mm%20Infantry%20Comparison.htm

The best supplier in the UK for GHQ and CinC I found was http://www.wargamesemporium.co.uk/

Hmmm, definately prefer the slightly larger 285 scale now that I've been browsing what's on offer. And the GHQ infantry are far superior in detail when compared to all the other ranges shown there.

They are indeed. For buildings also try timecast, although GHQ do a great range
http://www.timecastmodels.co.uk/range_28/range_28.html

For trees, assuming you want a jungle, 200 for £13, rather than a few bases try this bod: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TDB35-200pcs-Layout-Model-Train-Palm-Trees-Scale-N-35mm-/160547929362?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item256166fd12

pm me your address and I'll send you a couple so you can check them out before buying.

Also try http://www3.telus.net/Ritterkrieg/ just for painting ideas.

No worries.

It's a shame you didn't want to do this 6 months ago, as I flogged off the basis of a 6mm VN project in favour of doing it in 10mm... age, eyes, etc...  ;)

As an alternative source of infantry you might want to consider:
