The Wyrm was painted to much lower standard than most of the other models, partly because I didnt want to get too bogged down in painting a large and wobbly Bones miniature, but mainly because I knew that I could get a pretty decent, vaguely cockroach like effect on the model nice and quickly, so I did.  Its a cool and quite imposing model and it fits the concept of the devil rather well.  Im quite fond of it :)

The topic gives a surprising amount of freedom.  It also works well as small projects to work on here and there to experiment on (like the Wyrm/Devil) and break up some of the more production line elements of getting larger forces ready for gaming.

Great work again!

That reminds me I should have an unopened Ambull blister somewhere...

Lovely. I've been holding off painting my Ambul for a while but might have to dig it out.  :)

It has been a while since I worked on this project, but its definitely not forgotten.  A tiny but characterful addition today in the form of the PTERA-SQUIRREL.

Its based on a quite Pythonesque entry from the Rogue Trader rulebook.  There are more details and photos in the associated blog post.

How cute! I assume he will be a Terror for Pulp Alley? :D

Thanks folks.  Its a little indulgent and possibly a bit puerile in its gore heavy presentation, but Im certain that it will generate a few laughs in game.  Thats the entire point as far as I am concerned :)

So cute, so very blood-thirsty.  :-*

I finished it late last night and forgot to add the spray of meadow flowers for an extra jarring, heavy handed bit of juxtaposition with the gore drenched head, but I forgot.  I will have to remedy that this evening.

How cute! I assume he will be a Terror for Pulp Alley? :D

lol  I had it pencilled in as a mere peril, but I was pedestrian in my thinking.  You are in fact entirely correct Malebolgia, a Terror he is and a Terror he most certainly will be :)

Brilliant! I love the old Rogue Trader bestiary, great to see you tackle finding/making models for it. And painting them up so nice to boot.  :-*
