I painted three new shields for a friend.

No historical references, these are more just for fun.

About time I got me som Naffta troops.

http://kampgruppe-engel.blogspot.se/2015/02/naffatah.html

In Hail Caesar i will threet these as a small unit, even through they are only six and the rules say eight. They are as thought as eight regular guys...
In Lion Rampant maybe I can just use them as a unit of Bidowers.

They look pretty cool. Check out the Lion Rampart rules for handguns. Might be a good proxy.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

I have converted and painted a new unit of Turcoman archers.

The miniatures are initially plastic Mongols from start Fireforge Steppe warriors box

I have exchanged some heads and made new headgear and nice mustashios from greenstuff.
Two of the bodies are from Gripping Beast plastic Arab infantry as I wanted to see how they would look together with the others.

I have painted a Muslim scholar to accompany my commander or to make up the civilian element in villages or towns. The idea is to use him as a sort of terrain piece to add that extra detail to terrain.

More pictures at: http://kampgruppe-engel.blogspot.se/2015/02/muslim-scholar.html

The miniature are from Midlam Miniatures.

Latest unit.

A small unit of Turkic Ghulams...

Many more pictures at: http://kampgruppe-engel.blogspot.se/2015/02/turcic-ghulams.html

I tried to use loots of green on this unit to make it stand out a little in my army and as an sort of inspiration from Medieval Total War II as there the Turks colour is green.

The miniatures are Old Glory except for one that is Perry.
