Dead Man's Hand figure compatability?
« on: November 09, 2013, 07:41:28 PM »
All,
Yes, yes, I know I am opening a can of worms asking this, but I really do want to know.  How do the DMH figures match up against Black Scorpion figures?  I'd like to get the Lawmen and Outlaw sets, but only if they look right together.

I think I have one of the lawmen in one of my comparison threads here. I'll dig it out in a mo. If not I'll try and get some photos this evening.

This was the thread but the one in the picture isn't the most upright and it's not standing right next to Black Scorpion. Will get a better pic for you later.

Hmmn, based on that photo they look fine together, but a side by side photo would be even better, thanks.

They're made by Northstar I think, so I'd say the DMH models are middle of the road, size-wise and should fit with most anything.

Ok, here they are. Alternate Black Scorpion and Dead Mans Hand Lawmen. Sorry for poor pics and unpainted figures. DMH obviously still have their integral base attached.

They look pretty good together.  Even the weapons.  Thanks much.

Height wise fairly close, but that shotgun on the BS figure second from right, bloody hell, he must be expecting some wooly mammoths to turn up.  :o
Ray.

Question is, do I really want to pay $5.00 per figure for Cowboys??? Are they that good?

I do feel they are a tad pricey compared to Black Scorpion or anyone else for that matter but there are some really nice sculpts in there and good likenesses of film characters. I just wish they'd sell them individually as there are certain figures I want but not the whole set.

I think that they work fairly well together.
I feel that the dusters on the BS fellas will make them look bigger anyway.
A bit of paint and similar bases hides a multitude of differences.
 ;)

Yeah I second that thought. I bought two sets when the range was introduced but having to buy a whole set when I only really want one or two in the box will keep me from buying anymore for a while.
I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

Wee doggie that's a big'un. Never seen a 8ga in person. 10ga yes, but that was a sawn off version. Man the kick was hellish.
