Arrr. Paul me lad. Get yerself a flask o' grog an' get aboard shipmate...  ;)

I've just ordered a few bags of these little blighters... Cheap as chips. But I'm only going to paint just as many as I need AND NO MORE.

(How many do I need Steve? 30 or 40 in total, including gun crews?)

Now to find a ship - yarrr!

Depends how big your fleet is Richard .... will one ship be enough?!

I'm probably going to go for a few smaller ones and focus on speed and manoeuvre ... Which based on prior experience is probably a losing strategy!

The corsair will take about six washers so for each corsair I am inclined to do 24 crew, with 12 on 4 washers (leaving some space) and 12  (gunners. In the masts, etc) fixed to the boat.  Assuming the Captain goes on one of the washers, that'll give me a mobile command group with a three element boarding and landing force.

Sound about right?
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2025 = 74
(2024 = 38; 2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

:o
Ya cheap tart!

What the hell are you nutters up to now?
10mm...?
Are you all bonkers or summink?

The price increase for the main component of our beloved lead-piles demands drastic measures...

So it's either smaller minis or less minis, and I wonder who would accept less minis as a solution  ;)

@Topic wonderfull brushwork, they are just lovely little pirates
Far less active than I used to...

:-* Wow! Simply stunning. I find 15mm hard enough. I can't imagine painting 10mm! Great job.

Wonderfully done!  I'd be bug-eyed after trying to paint a figure that small and would not do 1/2 as well.   :-*
