Coming down to glass work and writing deadlines, so hobby-time is sparse at the moment. I'll post comparison photos ASAP. (if someone else doesn't get to it first.)

Thanks! I would settle for a ballpark estimate but pics are way better  ;)

BTW, when are you planning to release the complete version of 'Shift Tense'? I see that 3rd part is already up. (and my apologies to the OP for the topic derailment).

Off Topic Re. Shift Tense: Thanks for asking. I'll release the full version in print and ecopy late this year. It will include at least one additional Eshu International short story as bonus material. 99.9% of my sales are in e-format, and I want to give the three sections time to circulate. The exclusive material will differentiate the full version from the installments. That way, potential readers can sample my work without significant expense, or buy the full-on novel.

The serialization experiment with book 2 was a response to the predominance of electronic sales, the reported preference for series and shorter-length material, and a way to increase the number of titles with my name on it. Without specific feedback, I can't say exactly how well it worked, but sales are brisk, so I'm guessing it's acceptable. Thanks again.

I'll get some figs together and get pix asap.

Great work as usual, David! You say they aren't finished but look way better than anything I've ever painted, lol. These Grenadiers are great sculpts and they look even better with that camo pattern you used ;)

Does anyone have any comparison shots alongside your usual suspects? Hasslefree etc?

I'm tempted to get some to hack the heads off of and replace with maxmini ones. But I need a better scale reference first! Plus obviously have to wait for their official release.

Set aside that Dwartist cant paint as we all know and has done an awesome job i have a question on these figs.
I know the these figs, i think, are supposed to be armed with over/under grenade launchers. With that said are the main weapons supposed to be huge caliber riles with low qty magazines? The barrels look bigger then what i think are the GL's. Seems to me the main armament will be larger and have fewer rounds to fire before reload.
Thoughts?

Haven't read the booklet so I can't say what the guns are supposed to be or if indeed it is specified at all. So I'll err on the side cynicism and assume the large caliber is just another nod to the "Games Workshop look".

Anyone know when we can expect a release for us lowly non-kickstarter types?

Hi Guys,

The Grenadier weapon is based on the US Armies now cancelled OICW program.

The larger rear mag contains 40mm rifle grenades which it feeds into the larger top barrel.
Forward of the trigger is a smaller mag, containing caseless ammunition for the small carbine which is the lower of the two barrels.

The weapons mags and barrels are slightly "heroic" scaled, this is to make the details more visible when gaming, make them easier to paint, and importantly, to make the figures more durable. The resin used is high quality and slightly flexible, but thicker parts are still tougher!

@Love_the_Lash they will be available for retail Pre-Order tommorow hopefully, or early next week, either way retail kits will start shipping around the weekend of the 8th March.

Cheers,

Joel,

Anvil Industry
