Stonehaven Gnome NEW Priestess, Druid and Deathknight
« on: September 13, 2013, 09:00:16 AM »
This is Gwen Wimslow the Paladin from Stonehaven Miniatures from the Heroes of Sproketshire Collection. I'm doing the whole group as a small commission work and Gwen is the test figure.

This is only to be at a little above table top quality and I don't think I've got quite enough contrast on that shield. Also the sword needs more contrast. A bit of tweaking and I think she'll be fine.

The Stonehaven figures are meant to be D&D figures, so I did a shot with a Reaper Dwarf to show scale.

She is a LOVELY Little Thing. The brushwork, basing (love the mushrooms), & color choices are SPLENDID...you must go to a much classier Games Store than moi if you consider her table top quality. VERY WELL DONE!

By the way, do you have a link to the Stonehaven Miniatures site/store?

Great work on a tiny tiny mini!

I've finished up three more of the Gnomes from Stonehaven's Heroes of Sprocketshire collection.

This is the Priestess. I used a piece of mulch from my garden to make the rock, the mushrooms are made from the heads of pins and the little flower stalk behind her is a dried bit of lavender from my gardens that I painted.

This is the Druid. I built up the little hill using Play Doh (super cheap and when covered in wood glue, dries hard).

This is the Death Knight. I made the rocks from cork and the skulls in the base are heads from some skellies from the Reaper Kickstarter.

I still have one more from Heroes of Sprocketshire, the Mad Scientist and he's on the painting table now.

Thanks DeafNala! I've been working on my basing and it's about time I showed improvment.
