New Pulp Alley Miniatures by Andrew Rea (New Pics)
« on: November 20, 2013, 04:14:00 AM »
A small handful of eagle-eyed readers may have already penetrated the intricate veil of secrecy surrounding this top secret project…

At his hidden base in the windswept wilds of western Scotland, Andrew Rae is working night and day to create Pulp Alley miniatures.

Our first two offerings will be Pulp Girl and Phantom Ace…

More to come…

THANKS

Excellent news.

When I read that Mr Rae would be carrying PA in the UK I hoped something like this might be in the works.

Will they be available directly from you Dave?

Also, why digi sculpts instead of traditional green stuff?

Just wondering.

Yup, Pulp Alley will be selling them in the States and I'll be carrying them for Europe.

Regarding digi sculpts, I just got fed up of poking tiny objects with a needle for a living! Plus I like a large cup of coffee in the morning which is not helpful for sculpting small details by shaky hand. That said, having sculpted traditionally has really helped me get to grips with digital sculpting, especially for creating miniatures. With that experience and the experience of having figures printed, I can judge what will work for miniatures. And I can drink all the coffee I want. *twitch*

Thank you for the info and good luck with the new technique. You're doing great so far and I look forward to picking these up.

Also, am I the only ones who think these would make a great 1930s Hit-girl and Big Daddy team?

Hmm... Evil Dr. Kragh. I like the sound of that and writing it down!  ;D

Pulp Girl and Phatom Ace will not have different head/hand options. I expect most of the figures to be one-piece, but there may be head/hand options down the road.

At this time it's looking more like a January release for the first pack. I think we'll probably offer a pre-order once we get a little further along.

Is Pulp Girl sporting the latest in Repulsor Technology?

I don't know how much I'm allowed to reveal. Hmm... I believe the newspapers reported that following her return from Perilous Island, Pulp Girl's right hand had "changed" in an alarming and highly dangerous way. But this is Mila's character and I know she wants to tell the rest of the story.

Very nice, this will be on my watch list. A few questions, when will they be released and what's more to come  :P

Za, currently we're thinking we'll have them available in January, but we'll keep you updated.

What's more to come? We have a list of about a dozen possibilities, but we'd also like to know what folks are looking for - so feel free to make some suggestions.  ;)

THANKS for all the support and encouragement!
