Lovely.  :D

A fitting tribute to 'the kid'.

+1 on that.
The flesh looks amazing. What's your formula?

@Cholly thanks. I'm replaying it myself too. I never get bored of the game. Top job on the artizan cowboy. I don't paint eyes anymore either. I end up ruining most figures I try it on.

@Deedles. Brilliant mexican. Love that poncho. Think I may borrow that scheme for one of my Bandidos.

@Admiral, that Billy the Kid is stunning. Great detail in the face.

@Roger, fantastic conversion and paint job. Thanks for sharing.

The flesh looks amazing. What's your formula?

First of all: if the face is as beautifully sculpted by a master like Mike Owen, it's so much easier to paint. So praise to the sculptor!

My flesh formula is simple:

Game Color Parasite Brown
Game Color Dwarf Skin
Game Color Elf Skintone

It's essential to paint with much thinned down paint; I use a wet pallette. After finishing the face using the above paints, I used some very diluted red to tone the cheeks a bit instead of a dark wash for facial hair as usual. He is still a youngster, isn't he?
