Celebrating Vallejo's new black and white paint set
« on: November 23, 2013, 08:57:23 PM »
Vallejo is coming out with paint set specifically made for painting black and white figures.
I figured that was good enough reason to dig out my old black and white Copplestone gangsters I painted six years too soon, apparently. I used old Reaper Pro paint grays (no longer available) to paint these.
With the Vallejo-tailored set, maybe it's time to paint some more!

They are some incredibly beautifully painted minis.

Speechless..

The sickle in the fruitful field;
The sword he sung a song of death,
But could not make the sickle yield."

The shading and the contrasts are spot on. ;)

I remember seeing these before, but could not find them again.
Didnt you make some scenery to go with them, a newstand etc...?
 ???

Anyways, they are absolutely stunning and serious eye-candy.
 :-* :-* :-*

Glad you reposted them as I can steal the colours for reference material as I have to paint something in B+W very soon!

This is all the black and white scenery I have. (I made a little bit more scenery for my color gangster figures.)
Newsstand (inspired by the one offered by Steve Barber Models), a scratch-built hotdog stand, and a section of sidewalk painted onto a piece of masonite.

During the first month of my blog those years ago, I posted how to build the hotdog stand (using wood, plastic and viking shields): http://carmensminiaturepainting.blogspot.com/2007/04/how-i-made-hotdog-stand-for-my-pulp.html

Those black and white gangsters are superb! I particularly like the one with the stripey suit.

Does anyone know a UK supplier for this new Vallejo Black and White paint set?
