busy, busy, busy....

I'm making a 5 building 'village' for general jungle use, Vietnam, Burma, that sort of thing.
I shall be using the 'towel thatch' to roof everything so I'm very excited at trying something new :)

Day one is here:

Updates will follow etc.

I look forward to seeing your attempts with the "towel method."  :)

I have not gotten back to finishing my huts yet, but I liked the method and found it quick and easy (but VERY messy as towel bits were everywhere.)

Great! I shudder to think of the hordes of teddy bears which were skinned to provide my thatched roofs...

Looks Great M! I was so happy to learn of the "towel method" a few months ago. I've been doing a roof every so often because I can set a piece and forget about it for a while.

Can't keep my eyes off of that marmite in the pictures, haha.

I'm sure to give the towel technique a try, it looks damned handy and cost efficient, :P

Beats all those kits that use resin modeled thatch by a mile.

That does look great, and what a perfect colour for the towel! Liking this project very much, and I am going to start work on some Vietnamese hooches shortly as well!

Thanks for detailing the methods so well!

Well, here's the first one painted to check the colours.
I'm happy with it  :)
