I don't know what to say about it. I applaud you for doing it and it is very 'Art Deco' era in its design, but I can understand why they never pursued the design.

I do like that you are looking at obscure designs of the era though.  :)

So how do those ball mounted MG's work?

I'd say good luck, but judging by your previous work I doubt luck will be much of a factor!

It's just a preliminary drawing, if you hadn't noticed it before.

So they actually face side ways?

I would imagine that they have an arc of fire that extends from 0o to 90o or so on either side.

So they actually face side ways?

Indeed. Or this is what can be deduced from blueprints, at least:

Hello,

 for me it looks like a ball-mount. The barell goes through this ball and give this weapon a maximum field of fire. The gun can shoot as close to the tank, as the men can bring the backside to its wall.
 It is not posible to see this details on the sketch, this is just a moke up. But anybody can understand the idea. For me, it looks nice.

That is one ugly looking tank!

Well, I wouldn't say it was ugly (for what is a pretty tank?), but its certainly a curious looking vehicle.

I knew I'd seen this tank some where before. I just came across a diagram of it in my tank reference folder;

Is that an elevating internal gun on the schematic? How clever.  :)

I think it is. I was wondering if it was linked to the mechanism which raised the wheels too.
