i'm thinking of a cognoscenti list, based on inquisition .

i want to add some flames ! ( "Caedite eos. Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius."—"Kill them all, the Lord will recognise His own." )

my company will be based on 3 black scorpion tombstone figs ( long coat ) i have in my lead pile, with eureka cultists hooded heads ( it works quite well ) as inquisitor and st john knigths, a herezy torturer from my lead pile ( and no idea of his skills )  and a bunch of tsuba miniatures freikorps as swiss pontifical guard in civilian dress . i want to use a flame thrower , for me it' a perfect weapon for inquisition .
my problem is "how to base the flame thrower team" ? individual bases or 2 figs base ?

I would either go for two bases, or a single base from which you can remove a single man should he be knocked down or killed.

my problem is that if you hit one of the 2 men , the weapon is useless ... at least , if you hit some part of the flame thrower, you have 2 burning men ... quite efficient one shot weapon

Of course you can. The lists are merely a guide, they can't cover every character and person available to the Cognoscenti 
If you want to add Jean-Pierre the flamer toting eccentric from Brussels, then go ahead!

I don't have my book to hand but if you lose one of the figures, I think it becomes a move or fire weapon. So not useless by any means.

( and enough figs in my lead pile to build an anarchist company )
